Dear Leeses of New Zealand, I believe we are related. Our shared ancestor is James Lees senior, who died in 1890 aged 86. He is my great-great-grandad. You are descended from his first son John, and I am descended from his second son James Lees junior.
What I would especially like to know – if you can tell me – is where you got all the information for the Legacy family tree on the children of James Lees senior. I have had much difficulty researching them, because of the loss of Irish records.
I have some information on the two Jameses, and your ancestor John, and on two of the sisters (Agnes and Annie), if you’re interested. Plus of course lots on my own branch.
